looking forward to sherwin williams joining baker | mcguire showroom as they discuss their 2025 colormix forecast a presentation entitled capsules where they will explore their array of specified paint options.
Having been an artist from birth, it wasn’t until 2009 that I realized I needed to change things up a bit with the materials I used. flashback: I experimented with almost every new art material on the market. How quickly things have changed, because I really can’t keep up anymore with that! I used to varnish my work with toxic sprays and create using paints that just smelled so bad that I found myself using a mask.
back in 2009, i was searching for the most non-toxic paints on the market but had a really hard time. one day at the boston design center there was an event of some sort with a sherwin-williams rep. I I asked her about the different paint options + expressed my concern about using paint in a space with a newborn. she went on about this new harmony paint + how it was used in hospitals. not only was it the lowest VOC paint on the market but helped purify the air. I was sold + now only use their superpaint! it not only glides on super smooth but emits zero toxic emissions. crazy right?
i am excited to share my completely sustainable art with the world. i am utterly shocked when i tell designers about this magical paint that helps me create the most gorgeous pieces for clients, to hear they never heard about this before. cheers to trailblazing practices that are still future forward!
